This is a vintage bespoke shoemaker's last which came from one of the only remaining shoe making companies in Northampton. It is a plaster mould of an unusually shaped foot which was taken in order to make bespoke shoes to fit the customer. It is made of plaster covered with brown paper and has the clients details written on it. It measures approx 15 x 8.5 inches including the metal pole. I was given four of these and have kept two as unusual decorators pieces and am selling the other two.
